A NUANS report comprises a list of business names, existing corporate names, and trademarks names. This report offers an opportunity to have a distinct name from those given in the NUANS list for smooth business operations.

You can receive the report within 1-3 business hours. Once you order the report, you will get a confirmation email to acknowledge that we have received your request.

It is valid for 90 days from the date of ordering the first report and not from the date of ‌pre-approval. Businesses should register or incorporate their business within those 90 days.

Our basic fee for the NUANS report is $49. There is an addition fee along with taxes for pre-search option. However, if your proposed name is not available, we charge no additional fee for further searches.

This element sets you apart from other identical businesses. They should not hold a conflict with already registered businesses. It makes your company name unique and informs your customer the type of products & services you offer.

For e.g., Nescafe Coffee Shop. Nescafe is a distinctive element, whereas Coffee Shop is a descriptive element.

The descriptive element in a corporate name depicts the nature of your business. They add an identity to your business name and minimize the possibilities of conflict while searching & registering the business name.

For e.g. – NetCom Computers. NetCom is a distinctive element and computers are a descriptive element.

The report is needed before you register for a Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, or Trade Name. It ensures that the business name they have chosen that does not hold any existence at the time you began with your business.

Yes, there are certain words and symbols that the Corporate Registrar cannot approve.

Punctuation marks cannot be the initial character of a name. Trademarks or names identical to other companies cannot be approved. Words associated with government are not acceptable.

Yes, you can change a company name whenever you need. The process must be compliant with the Business Corporations Act. 

The FEDERAL reports showcase search results assembled by the NUANS database. in a six-page report. In case you are not sure if you require a Federal Name Search Report, then most probably you’ll not need this report.

Once you receive the NUANS report, business owners must fill the government forms to register their business. Filling it online will require less time and credit card is used for fee payment.

Printing forms will probably take about one week and cheque is accepted for fee payment.
